What makes our Retreats special?

Rural Retreat France is set in the glorious French countryside and designed to provide a space to leave behind your everyday stresses and distractions. We are passionate about what we do and our primary aim is to make your stay as special as possible.

We take care of of everything during your visit, all meals, accommodation, toiletries, dressing gowns and anything else you may need. Our tutors are experts in their field and share the values and philosophy of Rural Retreat.

Our gardens, patios and seating areas provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy some warm sunshine and solitude and a choice of places to eat. We plant for nature and encourage wildlife to our gardens following a permaculture programme.

Retreats for 2025

Retreats 2025

We offer a choice of retreats throughout the year, in music, (in partnership with Studio Alouette), art, astronomy, singing, writing, photography, wellbeing and the natural world.

Retreats run for 5 nights and are fully catered with breakfast, lunch and dinner. You won’t need to think about shopping, preparing meals or washing up! Every detail has been taken care of so you have time to learn, practice, reflect, rest deeply and enjoy the open spaces.

The beautifully designed Dortoir has been designed for quiet sleeping and is equipped with everything you need for your stay. The en-suite shower room and wet room has toiletries, towels, hairdryer and a dry area for changing.

Our Retreat Agreement

We keep the numbers low, with a maximum of 8 participants. There is plenty of individual time with tutors and keeps the site and facilities quiet and relaxed. You can attend on your own and join our group or come with a friend or friends.

We keep in contact with you right up to arrival and are here to help with all your travel questions. We’ll connect participants in advance of the retreat (optional) by WhatsApp, so you can start getting to know each other.

We offer pre retreat preparation packages and there’s a complimentary gift for all participants. After the retreat, your tutor will arrange a post-retreat catch up online see how you are doing.
