What makes our Retreats special?
Rural Retreat France is set in the glorious French countryside & is designed as the perfect getaway from everyday stresses & distractions. Get together with a group of your favourite friends & family for 5 days indulging in your special interest or choose from a menu of activities, to build your own tailor made break.
We take care of everything during your visit, all meals, accommodation, toiletries, dressing gowns & anything else you may need. Our tutors are experts in their field & share the values & philosophy of Rural Retreat.
Our gardens, patios & seating areas provide plenty of opportunities to enjoy some warm sunshine, dark clear nights & a choice of places to eat. We plant for nature & encourage wildlife to our gardens, following an environmentally friendly design programme.
Retreats 2026
We offer a choice of retreats throughout the year for your group. Pick from music, (in partnership with Studio Alouette), art, astronomy (in partnership with Astrofarm), singing, writing, photography, well-being & the natural world. Alternatively choose from our range of activities & create your own tailor made retreat.
Retreats run for 5 nights & are fully catered with breakfast, lunch & dinner. You won’t need to think about shopping, preparing meals or washing up! Every detail has been taken care of, so you have time to learn, practice, reflect & rest deeply.
The beautifully designed Dortoir has been designed for quiet sleeping & is equipped with everything you need for your stay. The en-suite shower room & wet room has toiletries, towels, hairdryer & a dry area for changing.
How our retreats work
Round up 4 – 8 of your favourite friends & family (over 18) & agree possible dates for your escape. Speak to Sue to confirm tutor & accommodation availability & travel options that work with your dates,
You can choose from a range of activities or choose a subject specific retreat e.g. singing. We will coordinate with our team of expert tutors & build a programme of activities for you to discuss with your group. Each retreat is tailored to the needs of your group, you needn’t do anything you don’t want to!
We keep in contact with you right up to your arrival & are here to help with all your travel questions. We’ll support you with your travel arrangement options, travel documents & what to pack.
Retreat Pricing
We like to keep our pricing simple. One price for all retreats – €550 per person – for groups of 4 -8 people booking together. There are no supplements, seasonal price hikes, small print, add-ons or extras!
Included in the price is 5 nights accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner & tuition. We even provide all day tea & coffee, toiletries, towels & anything else you may need for your stay. The only extra is your travel & insurances.
